17 Juil Liven Up Your Nuts: Spicy Roasted Cashew Nuts Recipe
Cashews are absolutely delicious and definitely one of our favourite nuts here at Royal Nuts. These delightful nuts are actually packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
These spicy cashew nuts can really liven up your mid-day snack. Make them in less than 15 minutes in the oven and pack them to go.
Step One
Preheat the oven to 300º F. Start with a 1 ½ cups of cashew nuts and a medium sized mixing bowl.
Step Two
Add a pinch of salt. We love Himalayan sea salt.
Add your spices and then start tossing.
We added a touch of oil to help evenly coat the cashew nuts and spread the love.
Step Three
Transfer the cashews to parchment paper on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes. Then, remove from the oven and toss with a spatula to ensure even coating. Bake for another 5-8 minutes until the cashews become light brown — if they get too dark, things are probably burning and you don’t want that! Once they start to brown slightly pull them out of the oven quickly. (The ones in the picture below are actually slightly overcooked, but still taste great.)
Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Straight out of the oven, the cashews will be soft and rubbery, but they develop a much nicer crunchy texture after cooling.
Throw in a bowl and let the family eat them up! Let us know how yours turn. Send us your pictures or recipes on our Royal Nuts Facebook page or send us a tweet on our Royal Nuts Twitter Page.
